Clients are allowed to shop at the Food Pantry once a month, due to the large need in our community. Once they are checked in, they are allowed to go into the pantry, and shop for their groceries, in accordance with the pantry guidelines based on the number of family members in their household. The pantry provides many of the necessary staples, such as dried beans, rice, peanut butter, jelly, a loaf of bread, and canned tuna. In addition, the pantry also provides canned beans, fruits, vegetables, and soup. When items are available, the client also receives fresh produce, fresh pastries, bakery bread, meat, and toiletries. After the client finishes shopping, a volunteer takes the groceries out, and loads them in the clients car.
